Issue III is an exploration of the erotic gaze in the new media age. It is designed to provoke reflection and reconsideration of the boundaries between privacy and visibility, between a desire for exposure and the will to maintain agency. Adopting the forms of poetry and personal narrative and the aesthetic of selfies and online porn, our contributors present work that lies at the nexus of social media, the self, and sex.
Milkweed is a sex-positive feminist magazine based in Toronto, featuring writing, photography, and visual art from around the world. Marrying zine ethos and colourful digital design, Milkweed is a unique source for erotica.
Issue IV will explore fantasy. In this issue, we ask questions about the intersections of the real and the fantastical, the role of memory in fantasy, and the ways in which fantasy can be transformative.
